The latest addition to the Solatube accessory range, is the versatile solar electric Nightlight. By harvesting daylight during the day, the Nightlight emits a soft ambient light during the night. Check out our video below displaying the latest technology by Solatube Australia

Ideal for hallways, stairwells, bathrooms and kitchens where a soft glowing light, not unlike moonlight on a clear night, will allow you to move around safely without turning on bright overhead lights.

Solatube Skylights Difference Day Night

Perfect for families with young children and those all too frequent middle-of-the-night wake-up calls.

For early birds, up at the crack of dawn who can start getting organised without waking up the rest of the household.

Last to bed night owls will find their way without stumbling into coffee table corners, or toys left behind on the floor.

Or just to get a glass of water on a hot midsummer night…

The Solar Electric Nightlight uses Solatube’s tried and tested sensor technology, which operates the Nightlight from dusk to early dawn when natural daylight starts flooding in through the Solatube skylights.

During the day, the Nightlight captures electricity by solar panels inside the Spectralight® Infinity Tubes and stores it in two AA NiMH 1500 mAh 1.2V rechargeable batteries which are commonly available in supermarkets and hardware stores. One full day’s charge will power two Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) during the dark hours of the night.

Ask your Solatube Premier Dealer about the Nightlight option when installing your new Daylighting System, or about installing the Nightlight in your existing Solatube skylight.

  1. hi, i am currently looking at designing a basement under a garage. there will be minimal natural light that will come through a glass door at the top of a staircase. I would like to install a solar tube so natural light could come through the side walls of the basement as the floor above will be used as a garage. what options do you have for side entry light wells, with natural light being harnessed from the roof or the paved areas with toughened glass installed in a paved area..

    1. HI Gavin, We are more then happy to help with the design. We’ve completed many side wall installations but it works best on a North facing aspect. There are many other options so its worth contacting our head office to discuss on 13 16 19 option 3. We will also try and contact you on email.
